Mr. Jones was licensed as a professional engineer in 2003 (Georgia) and has worked the last 30 years in the areas of land planning, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, and storm water management. In addition to engineering design and project management functions, other areas of practice include environmental investigations, project feasibility assessments, project layout including conceptual placement of utility infrastructure. Mr. Jones has also worked as a City and County Administrator in metropolitan Atlanta during periods of rapid growth and development. In these roles, he worked directly for an elected body and served as the chief executive responsible for the day-to-day operations of the local government.
